John and Jean Dawson are both Independent Financial Advisors (IFA’s) and Directors of More Than Mortgages Ltd. Having over 55 years in Financial Services between us, we have a vast amount of knowledge and experience to assist us in advising our clients.

We offer advice in relation to a wide range of financial products and services including protection, retirement, investments savings and mortgages.

A particular interest of Jean’s and a growing sector of the business is Equity Release. Jean enjoys helping clients, in or nearing retirement, to release funds from their property to meet ever increasing financial demands. This is a lifetime mortgage. For his part John, having been diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago (from which he has made a full recovery) is keen to emphasize the importance of Critical Illness Cover. When a serious illness strikes a ‘breadwinner’ it is too late to then get protection.

When not working in our business we enjoy cycling, walking, caravanning and spending time with our children and grand-children.

Most of our client meetings are held at 35 New Road where we have private rooms available for a consultation but we will gladly visit a client, at their own home or place of work.

Most of our business comes from existing clients returning, and clients of ours referring our services to their friends and acquaintances.
